WHY DANCE?

​A collaboration with Pavilion Dance South West, the 'Why Dance?' animation brings an emotional, visual element to powerful research project outcomes. Pavilion Dance were looking for an accessible, digestible and memorable way to share quantitive data from a 3 year study with their Parkinson's Dance classes. Working with Jo Tyler of Soniche on the audio, and Gary Hayton on the music, we interviewed Dr Sophia Hulbert (co-founder of the Parkinson's Dance Science approach), spoke with the dancers, and even had the privilege of joining in with the dancing to immerse ourselves in this wonderful project. Our aim was to create a piece that could give a viewer a taste of this experience whilst conveying the findings.
